What Are They? Where Do They Come From?
This section aims to offer a fairly broad selection of decent UFO documentaries. One of the problems which confronts anyone who wants to seriously study the UFO phenomenon is learning which books and documentaries on the subject can be trusted. Keep in mind that most UFO documentaries are meant to appeal to the broadest possible audience, and as such are quite basic
Out Of The Blue
This documentary is thought provoking and compelling.First of all, everything is up to date and there is excellent footage of UFO’s and modern computer simulations where video of sightings are not available. Forget the blurry blobs of the past. Feast you eyes on relatively sharp images and clear shapes in colour.
Secondly, it makes use of old footage of statements made by Government officials during the late forties and fifties to great effect. Each statement on it’s own seems insignificant but when many such statements are seen together it soon becomes clear that something “funny” is going on. By the end you’ll realise that the government position is a joke. How stupid do they think we are?
Thirdly, this documentary is suitable for skeptics and those who know little about the subject. You will be informed about the origins of the “flying saucer” phenomenon and where it’s at now. A case will be presented in which the evidence cannot be denied. Only a fool would persist in saying there is nothing to it. People who believe in the existence of extra-terrestrial life will get a lot out of it as well. You may feel like shouting “See – I told you so!”.Click to watch video
UFO Documentary – I Know What I Saw (2010)
The documentary “I Know What I Saw” change the way we see the universe. Director, James Fox assembled some of the most credible UFO witnesses from around the world to testify at The National Press Club in Washington D.C.. They were: Air Force Generals, US astronauts, military pilots, commercial pilots, government and FAA officials from seven countries. Governor Fife Symington from Arizona stated said, it: “will challenge your reality”.
Their accounts reveal a secret U.S. operation with the aim to confiscate and hoard substantiating evidence from close encounters to the extent that even Presidents have failed to get straight answers. The documentary exposes reasons behind government secrecy from those involved at the highest level.
UFO – The Greatetst Story Ever Denied
‘This film contains tons of original footage from the 1940s and 1950s, detailing the early history of the UFO cover-up, starting officially with the “Battle of Los Angeles” on February 26, 1942, featuring a stunning photograph of Klieg lights trained on UFOs in the skies above LA and a radio broadcast describing the 1,500 rounds that were shot at the unidentified craft — without hitting a single one! Includes memorable recorded quotes such as the following:
“The nations of this world will have to unite for the next war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the Earth must some day make a common front against attack by people from other planets.” — General Douglas MacArthur October 8, 1955
There’s much more to this story and Jose Escamilla does his part in uncovering what he can. Click here to watch video

Real UFOs – History Channel
It has long been suspected that Nazi leaders had more than a passing interesting in the occult and UFOs. Now, UFO Hunters will travel to Germany and Poland to investigate bizarre alien links that go back hundreds of years. Click to watch video
UFOs The True Story of Flying Saucers 1956
Enjoy this drama-documentary, based on the experiences of Al Chop, a reporter who served as press liaison for the Pentagon during its investigation of UFO’s from 1947 to the early 1950s.
Miller, Soule, and Tremayne provide the voices for the narrated portions of the film. Although the movie contains only two brief film clips to serve as photographic evidence of UFO’s, the producers build a good case based on the credibility of certain UFO witnesses (airline pilots, military personnel, radar operators, etc.).
On a more subtle level, director Winston Jones pulls off a clever trick; he begins the film as a pure documentary, but he gradually modifies this approach and focuses on reporter Al Chop’s personal involvement in the UFO investigation. Chop slowly changes from UFO skeptic to UFO believer
The climax is a gripping reenactment of a true incident which occurred in 1950, when a group of UFO’s cruised above Washington DC for several hours. The voice of Harry Morgan is heard over the radio as an Air Force pilot whose plane is literally surrounded by UFO’s, during which Al Chop and a group of bewildered military men cluster around the radar scope, watching in wide-eyed wonder. Dramatically speaking, this scene is far superior to its counterpart in `Close Encounters of the Third Kind’. The most amazing thing about this film is the fact that it was made with the full cooperation of the United States government, and every scrap of evidence it presents was made available to any and all scientific agency who wanted to examine it.
Watch it and make up your own mind about UFO’s — but you’ll loose some sleep over it before you do. Note: Some reviews mistakenly identify the star of `Unidentified Flying Objects’ as Tom Powers, a co-star of `Destination Moon’ (1950). The star of `UFO’ is actually a Los Angles newspaper reporter (not a professional actor) named Tom Powers, who portrays the real-life reporter Al Chop.
Westall 1966: A Suburban UFO Mystery (Australia – 2009)
At approximately 11.00 am on Wednesday, 6 April 1966, a class of students and a teacher from Westall High School (now Westall Secondary College) were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was alleged to have been seen. Witness descriptions were mixed: Andrew Greenwood, a science teacher, told The Dandenong Journal at the time that he saw a silvery-green disc.
According to witnesses the object was descending and then crossed and overflew the high school’s south-west corner, going in a south-easterly direction, before disappearing from sight as it descended behind a stand of trees and into a paddock at The Grange in front of the Westall State School (primary students). After a short period (approximately 20 minutes) the object – with witnesses now numbering over 200 – then climbed at speed and departed towards the north-west.
As the object gained altitude some accounts describe it as having been pursued from the scene by five unidentified aircraft which circled the object. This is one of the most impressive and enthralling reports and documentaries on the subject told by the people who lived it.
UFOs – Best Witness Ever?
She had no reason to lie, she doesn’t seem crazy at all, more to lose than to gain..and I’m sure she knew that but like she said, “This happened to me and that’s it”…she obviously didn’t care who believed her. Very believable. So, what did she see….?
